REGISTRATION HOURS
Friday (12:30pm-7:00pm) Saturday (7:00am-2:00pm) Sunday (7:30am-1:30pm)
Teachers please be sure to stop by during registration hours to pick up your materials
Dancers registered with a registered studio, DO NOT need to stop by the registration desk.
Included in registration packets will be:
*Wristbands for Classes. These must be worn during the entire weekend. Replacements will be at a cost of $5/band.
*3 sets of Numbers for Classes. Please wear on Saturday and Sunday for classes. Bring Safety Pins to secure visibly to your dance attire
*Lanyards for dancers entered in the competition. This is for their competition award/s
*Competition Program for Teachers
*Teachers folder with additional information
*We will be holding our Faculty Introductions on the Main Stage before classes begin. Everyone is invited!
*Ballroom doors will open 15 minutes prior to classes.
*Please NO Camping outside of the ballrooms to reduce the crowd size for our function.
WAIVER
Please see the attached link above that will guide your parents thru our Digital Waiver. Have your parents sign the digital waiver by the start of the weekend. If a parent is having trouble accessing the waiver, it is usually the birthday or spelling of name that may be incorrect.
COMPETITION AWARDS
For Solo Competition- These Dancers are Allowed on Stage During Awards.
For Groups- Teachers we ask that you select a about 5-8 representatives to be on stage during awards. This is a safety issue to make sure our stage is not overcrowded and at the weight capacity.
All other dancers may watch from the audience or if space allows, we will allow additional dancers to the stage.
LIVE STREAM
Competition/Awards/Scholarship Finale will be live streamed for all to enjoy. Link will be posted directly on our website once live.
PROPS
Teachers, please inform when registering if you have any large props that need to be brought in so we can coordinate this with you.
JUDGES’ SCORES & CRITIQUES
Scores & video critiques will be uploaded by the end of the weekend. You may view these by logging into your studio account
SCHOLARSHIP
Minis will have their scholarship audition in the last class on Saturday. At this time, all Mini dancers will receive a completion certificate and Pin. Scholarships will be passed out at this time. Minis do not need to come back on Sunday for the scholarship finale
Juniors/Pre-Teen/Teens/Seniors will have their auditions during the assigned class.
In the last class on Sunday, we will present scholarships as well as announce the Scholarship Finalists.
There are no Observers/Chaperones in the Audition Classes
Scholarship Finalists will be asked to re-audition in front of the entire faculty during the Scholarship Finale.
Scholarship Finale is open to Teachers, Parents, & Dancers
Scholarship Finale & Faculty Show will be LIVE STREAMED
PHOTO & VIDEO
During competition, photo & videotaping is prohibited. Same Day Productions will be on site to videotape and photograph all of the competition.
PARENTS’ CLASSES
We are excited to offer a few Parent Classes during the weekend.
-PLEASE CHECK THE DETAILED CLASS SCHEDULE THAT WILL BE POSTED SHORTLY
SAFETY AT HOLLYWOOD VIBE
We must all do our part to stay healthy and safe during event weekends.
Please talk with your parents and dancers and create a “Studio Plan of Action” during these weekends. Have a way to communicate with your parents during the weekend. Create a meeting spot for your parents & dancers.
*Make sure your Dancers know where HV Registration Desks are located in case of any emergencies.
*Make sure your Dancers know who the chaperones are in the ballrooms or how to contact chaperones/teachers (contact via company whatsapp group)
*Use a buddy system when traveling throughout the venue
*Wear cover ups outside of the ballrooms and throughout the venue. Although we are familiar to seeing dancers in short tops & shorts, there are guests in the hotel who may not be familiar to this. (please wear company jackets, XLD warm up or Dance Demeanor gear)
*Competition Audience must check in with Registration or Backstage Runners to receive their Audience sticker by verifying Dancers’ Name and Studio
*As always, If You SEE Something, SAY Something!
This season, we will not be selling Observer Bands to create more space for dancers. However, we'd like to make sure your youngest dancers are chaperoned. For registered studios you have the option to designate 1 parent per 5 Junior/Pre-Teen Convention level dancers as your Parent Chaperone(s). We realize that Teachers are very busy during the weekend and cannot always sit to make sure their dancers are taken care. This Chaperon Lanyard will be given to you at Registration and can be interchangeable between Parents. *This is not applicable to Independent Registrations or Studio Registrations with no Registered Teacher.* (I will list the first set of chaperones for each class in our company whats app group, keep in mind we are very good about switching the landyard out so thats not a problem. Parents please be kind to switch this out for each class for parents to go in classes)
***Congregating outside of the ballrooms is not permitted during conventions classes.***

Hair: By this being a convention weekend I am allowing dancers to wear a style that will last of your choice. Please be very mindful of all routines when choosing your style. If dancers are wearing braids or ponytails I would prefer these to not be oversized or long braids/ponytails that will hinder their range of motion. Meaning, do not have braids and ponytails past the butt as this makes it very hard to execute movements on stage. NO COLOR extensions please.

Costumes: Please be sure to double check your bags for the proper costumes and socks and be sure that all pieces are clean and wrinkle free. Please refer to your routine whats app groups for details.
