We are so excited to get back to this stage! So much has changed over the past few months, and we are taking every precaution to keep you and your families safe. Please take the time to read through the following information and pass along needed info to your dancers. All links for the program, photogenic entries and waivers can be found on the Houston page of our website 7 days prior to the event.
You will also find a folder with important documents attached to this email. This includes your studio release which should be filled out and printed. This will need to be turned in at check in.
Also, please take a minute to complete the link below. This will help you with some reminders and also give us information to help prepare your studio packet.

Meet the Houston Staff

Arrival, Check in and Exiting
Studio Owners should arrive for your block a few minutes early to check in. Please have your QR codes for yourself and your staff ready to scan. All payments due and your studio waiver will also be collected at this time. The studio release form is attached in the folder below. Your prop dads should also be present at this time with the QR codes.
Everyone must enter through the Meeting Room doors of the building. All attendees will need to have their QR codes ready to scan. Temp checks and wristbands will be issued at this time and should not be removed until after the studio block. If your studio is blocked on two days, please keep your wristband for the weekend.
ALL items must be removed from the dressing rooms before the awards ceremony so that sanitation and cleaning may begin in those areas. Once you remove your items and awards have begun, you will not be allowed to access those areas of the facility.
Everyone must exit through the Lobby Doors doors of the building to facilitate proper distancing and keep the flow of studios through the building.
We encourage your dancers to download our app and allow push notifications so that we can alert you when the facility is ready. Please do not crowd the facility entrances and exits.
Dressing Rooms
All dressing rooms will be assigned, and each dancer/guest must stay in their designated area. Due to the size of the dressing areas at the venue, capacities are limited. We must adhere to the capacities for these areas. An email was sent earlier this week with dressing room information and maps.
Backstage & Props
Only dancers and studio staff will be allowed in the backstage area. Prop dads will be required to check in and they will receive a different color wristbands. Please have dancers hold until 3 routines prior to their performance so we can maintain proper distancing in the backstage area. Prop dads should check in with the studio staff at the beginning of your block.
Teacher's VIP Room
The studio owner room will be suspended during this time. We hope to be able to bring this back in the future.
Video/Photo Policy
Free Media in 2021!! You will receive information on how to receive your photos and video about one week following the event.
Photo and video are not allowed during the performances from both the audience and backstage area. This includes facetime, snapchat, Facebook live and other social media applications. Audience members make take photo/video during awards sessions. Failure to comply with these rules will result in disqualification and removal from the venue. Also, our dressing room areas and backstage areas are electronic free zones. Please refrain from capturing images on devices in these areas to ensure the safety and privacy of our dancers.
Merchandise
We will not be selling programs. There will be a link on the Houston page to download our free digital program and it will be available on our free app. If you need a paper copy, please bring that with you.
Awards and Live Stream
We ask that each dancer sits with their guest in the theater during our placement and special awards session. All placement pins, medals and special awards will be packed and given to the studio owner at the conclusion of the block.
Overalls will be presented on our live stream on Tuesday February 9th at 6pm.
All live streams will remain available to watch should you not be able to make the scheduled time. The live stream will be available on our app as well as our website.
Venue Specific Regulations
Water bottles may be brought into the facility.
Important Notes
Masks will be required for anyone entering the building. Masks are required at all times except while on stage.
Studios may not enter the building until their designated time frame. Dancers should avoid congregating near the entrances of the facility.
All studio staff, dancers and spectators MUST have a completed Covid Waiver on before arrival. The link to the Houston waiver will published 7 days prior to the event. After completing the waiver, follow the instructions to receive your QR code for your party. You must have this code available when entering the facility. All party members must arrive at the same time during your studio's check in time. A waiver is required for each dancer and their guest. For example: a family with 3 dancers will have 3 QR codes to present upon check in.
Upon receiving your waiver and temperature check, wristbands will be issued. If your wristband is removed, you will not be readmitted.
Each dancer may bring only ONE guest to the venue and this guest must have been the one included on their waiver.
